As a partner in the law firm of Buckley and Zopf, Tony brings more than 35 years of trial experience. Raised in Sunapee, New Hampshire, Tony attended Keene State College, where he graduated cum laude, in 1984. He attended New England School of Law in Boston where he graduated magna cum laude in 1987. While in law school Tony served as the managing editor of the New England Law Review. From 1987 to 1988 Tony served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Justices of the New Hampshire Superior Court.


Tony has been in the private practice of law since 1988 concentrating his practice in the areas of Criminal Defense, DUI/Motor Vehicle Defense, Domestic Relations, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation. Tony has handled many cases in the District and Superior Courts of New Hampshire including civil, personal injury, criminal and domestic cases. He has also argued several cases before the New Hampshire Supreme Court, including State v. Lorton,  https://caselaw.findlaw.com/nh-supreme-court/1473964.html an often cited case establishing the level of proof required for a DUI/DWI conviction.

Tony resides in Claremont, New Hampshire with his wife Judy. In the past Tony has served on many local boards, including the Orion House, the Newport Opera House, Chairman of the Newport Zoning Board, the Community Alliance of Human Services and is a past president of the Newport Rotary Club. Tony is a past president of the Claremont Kiwanis Club and an active member. Tony is also an avid runner and hiker, having completed ten marathons including the Boston Marathon as well as completing the Mount Washington Road Race twice and has climbed all of New Hampshire’s 48 peaks over 4,000 feet.
